We came in for some lunch and left with a bag full of delicious premium products and a lot of knowledge. If you are interested in high quality and authentic Italian food products this is the place to be! We had an amazing lunch here and after that a tour of all the products, where they came from, how to use them and even had some tasting samples. What started as a quick lunch turned into a 2 hour "food tour" and a bag full of delicious products. Thanks alot for the experience and all of the knowledge we've learned!
We enjoyed a lunch at La Buvette and was pleasantly surprised of the small courtyard around back. We had cold cuts and cheeses that we picked ourselves with a very nice guidance, even if we might have been too picky. We did end up bringing some more back home. The lasagne and dessert (chocolate foundry) was a bit disappointing, but service and atmosphere was perfect. Highly recommend to try this!
We shared the cold meat and cheese board which was excellent, followed by the salmon which was delicious. We shared the torta del pane Di Omenga for dessert....it was lush. We chose 2 glasses of wine of the day thinking that it would be reasonably priced.(Vulcai a fume) It cost €15 per glass! I think it would be a good idea to show customers the wine and the price before serving it.
What a gem. If you are foodie, this is the place for you. The staff were kind and spoke very good english. Their knowledge of food is amazing. TIP- let them choose the food for you and suggest a wine pairing and you will be in for a delight to your senses and an unforgettable experience of local food presented with skill and care. It was a joy to spend a couple of leisurely hours here and also great fun exploring the range of wines which the shop stocks. It is probably more correct to describe it as a high end delicatessen that happens to serve food, than the other way round, but this was nevertheless a superb restaurant experience. The location, right in the heart of Omegna, means people watching is most definitely on the agenda, although the bus stop might be a little too close for the fine dining experience. However, for my wife and I, the commitment to excellently sourced food, served with considered wine pairings has only been matched for us on a handful of occasions. Please relax into the foodie experience and let the waiter take you on a food and drink journey. That for us was unforgettable. Three courses with water and caffe was 80 euro. The wine- well knock yourself out and spend as much or as little as you like, the waiters explanation of grape varieties, terroir and producers was worth whatever you choose to pay.
Excellent restaurant, especially for bread, wine, cheese and meats. Main course menu is rather small, but enough for dinner or lunch. Still, tastings feel like this places specialty
Recommended! We stopped here for a small lunch, the owner recommended things to share etc. We settled for bruschetta with tomatoes and ricotta. And we were surprised: we got bread with olive oil while waiting, the bruschetta was served with garlic, olive oil, tomatoes and ricotta, plus basilicum. This is prepared with love!
